Digital learning, eLearning…. Whatever you want to call it, most of it is boring and ineffective (in fact, some people would say it sucks).

The reason for this is that it's created as a way of communicating content - usually in a PowerPoint style format - rather than being designed to be a learning experience. Instead of being the usual info + info + info + quiz format, eLearning needs to be designed for how we actually learn.

So how do we actually learn? You probably know the answer already: By doing. By making mistakes. By getting feedback. By practising. We learn through experience.

When we're creating custom eLearning for our clients, we're building something that is interactive from the very start, all the way until the end. It puts people straight into situations where they need to make decisions and think critically. It gives them opportunities to learn through failure and feedback, and puts them in the actual context of what they need to learn.

Bad eLearning is structured like this. A lot of information then a few (usually meaningless) quiz questions at the end.

Good eLearning looks more like this. That's because it puts people in situations where they have to make decisions, practice skills and get meaningful feedback.

Are you surprised people hate the average corporate eLearning?

Every day your people are using high quality apps, watching entertaining videos and playing fun games... at home. Then they come to work and sit in front of the next edition of "click next through bad stock photos and bullet points". How do you think they feel?

Q. How do you build great eLearning?
A. With a great team.

The digital products that people use at home aren't built by a single person. They're built by a team of specialists. If you want eLearning of the same quality, you have to take the same approach.

For each project, we have one team with a shared vision, made up of people with a wide range of skills and specialities that can be brought in at the right time.

Of course, you also need a great process.

We've spent years refining our process, making it as collaborative and effective as possible.

The technology is the easiest part.

We'll work with you to determine the best way to technically build and deploy your eLearning. You may want to maintain it yourself in the future, so we'll use a rapid authoring tool like Articulate Storyline or Adobe Captivate - whatever you have access to. If you want something more responsive, we can create something completely custom in HTML5 or even develop a mobile app.

So let's create something great together.
